How a 10DLC registration actually gets filed
US carriers expect a registered brand before you text from a local number. In Statxt that is one intake under Compliance, then a review you cannot edit from the form.
This describes the registration workflow in Statxt. It is not legal advice, and carrier rules change. 10DLC is the registration US carriers expect before a business texts from a regular 10-digit number. You fill in one intake. Statxt submits it. You do not file The Campaign Registry paperwork yourself from this screen.
Where the form lives
New workspaces see a 10DLC Package step during onboarding, after the business profile and before compliance review, internal approval, and plan activation. Inside the app the full form is Compliance, 10DLC. Only owners and admins can edit it. Other roles can open Compliance and still not see the intake details.
Onboarding asks for the contact, the business, the address, and the website in four short steps. The full form is the same facts in more detail: legal name, tax ID, address, a person carriers can verify, what you text, who receives it, sample messages, how people opt in, and your STOP and HELP replies.
Match the records, and write the texts you will really send
Legal business name should be the registered entity. Add a DBA only when customers know you by another name. The EIN is the 9-digit federal tax number, stored encrypted. Entity type is Private profit, Public profit, Non-profit, Government, or Sole proprietor. The website has to be publicly reachable, because carriers look at it.
Use case covers the usual programs: appointment reminders, customer support, order updates, marketing, account notifications, two-factor authentication. Message sample 1 is required. Samples 2 and 3 are optional. You can start from a message template and then edit it so it sounds like your business, including opt-out language. Opt-in method is where consent happens. Privacy policy and terms URLs are required unless you choose No website. The default replies are "Reply STOP to opt out." and "Reply HELP for help." Leave those unless you have a reason to change them.
No website is a hosted page, not a blank field
No website, next to Website URL, has Statxt build and host a site from the intake details. A one-time fee is shown before you agree. Website, privacy, and terms URLs are no longer required. You tick the hosted-website terms and, after submit, pay at a secure checkout. People who are not customers yet can also send details from the public page at statxt.com/10dlc.
Submit locks the form
Save Draft as often as you want. Submit for Review saves the latest answers, so you do not need a separate save first. The Statxt terms and privacy checkbox is required. Missing fields are highlighted. After submit, the form locks. Status moves through Draft, Submitted, In Review, Approved, and Rejected. If something has to change, the team asks you. During onboarding, Compliance Review has Check for updates, and carrier review is typically a few business days. You get an email when plan checkout unlocks.
The click-by-click version lives in the 10DLC Registration guide.
Walk through it in the product
