Ring your cell when a Statxt number is called
Forward calls to, on your own profile, sends voice calls for every voice-capable number assigned to you. Texts still arrive in Messages.
Call forwarding is a personal setting. Each teammate fills in their own. It does not change where texts go. Texts to your Statxt number still land in Messages. Calls to a voice-capable number assigned to you ring the outside phone you saved.
Settings, Profile, Calls, Forward calls to is the field. A 10-digit US number works, and so does a number that starts with +1. It cannot be one of your Statxt numbers. That would loop the call back into Statxt. The Phone number field under Personal info is a different box. Forwarding only reads Forward calls to.
Nothing changes until you click Save changes on the bar that appears at the bottom. Discard throws the edit away. After a save, Statxt sets forwarding up on your numbers in the background, so give it a moment before you test. One field covers every voice-capable number assigned to you. You cannot pick a different cell per line.
Test from a phone that is not the destination
Open Telephony, Phone Numbers and look for the VOICE chip. A number without it is text-only, and calls to it are not forwarded. If you do not have a number yet, support has to assign one before this setting does anything.
Call your Statxt number from a different phone. Do not test from the cell you are forwarding to. If it does not ring, check that the field saved and that the line shows VOICE.
To switch phones, replace the number and save. To stop, clear the field and save. A cleared field stays cleared. Statxt does not fall back to the profile phone. Ask each teammate to set their own. Your forwarding does not cover their lines.
The click-by-click version lives in the Call Forwarding guide.
