What to check before a text campaign goes out
Text Blaster sends one message to the groups you pick. The cost, the opt-out footer, and the people you already texted today are the checks that matter before you launch.
Text Blaster, on the Campaigns tab, sends one message to every eligible contact in the groups you select. The name of the campaign is optional. Leave it blank and Statxt files it under the date and time. A name you will recognize later is worth the extra second, because All Campaigns is where you will pause, cancel, or read the result.
Groups are the audience
Open Select contact groups and tick the lists you want. A person who sits in two of those groups still gets the text once. Contacts on your do-not-contact list are removed, and the recipient header says how many. If you do not have a list yet, you can create a group from the dropdown or upload a file with Upload leads.
No replies, in that same Recipients area, can build the audience from people who were texted before and never answered. How that snapshot is built, and the 5,000-person cap, is the Contact Groups guide. Tags label contacts whose message was accepted. They do not decide who receives the blast. That difference is the Contact Tags guide.
The counter is the cost
Est. Cost is recipients times segments. Append Opt-Out Footer is on by default. Statxt adds "Reply STOP to opt out." on its own line and counts those characters, so typing that line yourself sends it twice. The composer warns you when it spots the duplicate.
Merge fields such as {first_name} fill in per contact. Preview all shows the longest personalized texts, which is where a long name pushes someone into a second segment. Words that break the compliance rules are highlighted in the box. Clicking Blast Message or Schedule Campaign runs that check again.
Emoji, a pasted ellipsis, a tracking link, and a photo each change that price. The Characters & Segments guide is the math, including why a picture is not billed per segment.
Recently texted people are a choice
The audience safety gate is already set to exclude people your team texted inside the lookback. Continue anyway texts everyone who is not on the DNC list. You can also skip contacts who already have a two-way thread with your team. The window, and whether it counts the whole team or only you, lives under Settings, Notifications, and on that panel. The Notifications guide is where that window is set.
Five minutes is the shortest schedule
Send Now launches immediately. Schedule Later needs a date and time at least five minutes out. If the draft uses merge fields, you confirm that personalization can make some texts longer before anything goes out. A short credit balance stops the send and shows how many credits you still need.
After launch, All Campaigns lists who was left out. You can pause a send in progress or cancel one that is still scheduled. Messages that already left cannot be pulled back.
The click-by-click version lives in the Send a Campaign guide.
Walk through it in the product
The guides cover these same workflows step by step, with the screens you will actually use.
