Round-Robin Blasts
Send one message to a deduped pool of contacts, split across your team’s phone numbers. Each member texts from their own line and owns the replies from the contacts they were assigned.
How it works
- 1
One message
Write it once. Merge fields like {first_name} personalize each send.
- 2
Deduped pool
Your groups are merged, with duplicates and opt-outs removed.
- 3
Split across numbers
Contacts are divided evenly or at random between the members you pick.
- 4
Members own replies
Replies land on each member’s line, optionally copied to your inbox.
STEP 01
Open Campaigns → Round-Robin
Round-Robin is a tab inside Campaigns. It’s available to workspace owners and admins, who set blasts up for the team.
- Every past and active blast is listed here with its status.
- Click New round-robin to open the setup wizard.
- First time? The wizard offers a short guided tour of each field.
STEP 02
Name it and pick contact groups
Give the blast a name you’ll recognize later, then choose one or more contact groups as the audience.
- Statxt merges your groups and removes duplicates automatically.
- DNC and opted-out contacts are filtered out of the pool.
- The pool is capped at 10,000 contacts. Remove a group if you go over.
- Optional: add contact tags. They’re applied only to contacts whose message was accepted for sending.
STEP 03
Write the message
Write the text once. Every member sends the same copy from their own number, so keep it team-neutral.
- Use merge fields like {first_name} to personalize each send.
- Watch the character and segment counter. Longer texts use more segments.
- Include opt-out language such as “Reply STOP to opt out”.
- Leave a single rep’s name out of the copy. Replies already route to the right person.
STEP 04
Choose the sending members
Pick which teammates take part. Each one sends from their own Statxt number, so only members with an eligible active number can receive contacts.
- Members without an active number can’t be selected.
- Turn on Email selected members so the team knows to watch their inbox when sending starts.
- More members means smaller buckets and faster, more personal follow-up.
STEP 05
Set the split and reply ownership
Decide how contacts are divided between members, and who sees the replies.
- Even split divides contacts as equally as possible.
- Random shuffles the pool first, then assigns, so routing is less predictable.
- Member + admin copies every reply into your inbox automatically.
- Member only keeps replies on each member’s line. You can pull them in later from the detail page.
STEP 06
Send now or schedule, then launch
Launch right away or pick a future date and time. You always see a final confirmation before anything goes out.
- Scheduled blasts need at least 5 minutes of lead time.
- The confirmation shows the final contact count and how many members are sending.
- Nothing is sent until you click Launch blast or Schedule blast.
STEP 07
Track, manage and pull in replies
Open any blast from the Round-Robin list to see live totals and a per-member breakdown.
- Pause or cancel while a blast is scheduled or sending. Texts that already went out can’t be recalled.
- Watch delivered, failed and skipped counts for each member.
- In Member only mode, click Import on a member’s row to pull their replies into your inbox.
- Open a reply to see which blast and member it came from.
Pro tips
Get more out of Round-Robin Blasts
Spread the load
A single Text Blaster send goes out from one line. Round-robin spreads the volume across your team’s numbers.
Compliance is built in
DNC and opted-out contacts are filtered from the pool before anything is assigned.
Stay on top of replies
Pick Member + admin to get a copy of every reply. Pick Member only to keep inboxes separate. You can still import replies later.
Mix up routing
Use Random when you don’t want the same members always getting the same kinds of contacts.
Mind the cap
A single blast tops out at 10,000 deduped contacts. Split very large lists into separate blasts.
Tag for follow-up
Add contact tags during setup so you can filter everyone who received this blast later in Contacts and Messages.
