How-to guide · Calling
Your Statxt Phone Numbers
Every Statxt number is assigned to one person on your team. You send from your own numbers, you see them in Telephony, and you can swap a low-health number for a fresh one without losing its campaign setup.
How it works
- 1
Assigned to a person
Each number is assigned to one user. Your texts go out from your own numbers.
- 2
Listed in Telephony
Phone Numbers shows each of your lines with its status, capabilities, health and activity.
- 3
Health is tracked
Supported lines show a 7-day and a 30-day health score, with delivery and opt-out details.
- 4
Rotate when it drops
Below 7.0 over 30 days, Rotate number swaps in a new number on the same campaign.
STEP 01
Open Telephony → Phone Numbers
Click Telephony in the sidebar. The Phone Numbers tab lists every number assigned to you.
- The list shows only your own numbers, not your teammates’.
- Search by number, name or campaign with the search box.
- The bar at the top counts your numbers and your messages from the last 7 days.
STEP 02
Read a number card and name your lines
Each card sums up one number. Give each line a name so you can tell them apart.
- The dot and word at the top show the status, such as active or pending.
- Chips show the number type and what it can do: SMS, MMS and VOICE.
- Click Rename, type a name, then click Save.
- Sent and Received count the messages on that line.
STEP 03
Get a number for you or a teammate
Numbers are assigned to users by Statxt. To get a number for a new teammate, or for yourself, contact Statxt support.
- Use the support chat bubble in the bottom-right of the app.
- Say who the number is for and which area code you’d like.
- Once assigned, the number shows up in that person’s Telephony list.
- Team features that send from members’ lines, like round-robin blasts, need each member to have an active number.
STEP 04
Check health under Manage
Health scores tell you when a line is struggling. Click Manage on a card to see more.
- Number health shows a 7d and a 30d score. Hover them for delivery and opt-out rates.
- Campaign usage shows today’s segments against the campaign’s daily cap, and this number’s share.
- Recent Activity lists the latest texts and calls on the line.
- Not every line shows health scores or the Rotate option.
STEP 05
Replace a low-health number with Rotate number
When a line’s 30-day score drops below 7.0, click Rotate number under Replace this number.
- The button stays off until the line has 30 days of message history.
- It also stays off while the 30-day score is 7.0 or higher.
- Statxt first looks for a replacement in the same area code and swaps it in right away.
- Rotations are limited per workspace. If you hit the limit, you’ll see “Rotation limit reached”.
STEP 06
No numbers in your area code? Pick another
If there’s nothing available in your current area code, a panel opens so you can choose a different one.
- Enter a 3-digit area code and click Search.
- Click Use this number next to the number you want.
- If nothing comes up, try another area code.
STEP 07
After the swap
The new number takes the old one’s place on your account. You’ll see a confirmation when it’s done.
- The new number is assigned to you and attached to the same campaign as the old one.
- The old number is retired and drops off your list.
- The new number has a 30-day cooldown before it can be rotated again.
Pro tips
Get more out of Phone Numbers
Name every line
Names like “Main line” or “Spring promos” make it easy to pick the right number later.
Watch the 30-day score
Hover the scores to see delivery and opt-out rates. A falling score is your cue to review your messages or rotate.
Rotate once, then wait
A new number can’t be rotated again for 30 days, so review the messages you send from it too.
Check capabilities
The chips on each card show what the line supports. Look for VOICE if you need it for calls.
Removing is a big step
Remove from my account takes the number off your list. It doesn’t cancel the line, and you’ll need support to get it back.
Plan numbers for your team
Ask for a number for each new teammate who will text or call, so they can send from their own line.
Common questions
Why can’t I see my teammates’ numbers?
Telephony shows only the numbers assigned to you. Each teammate sees their own numbers in their own Telephony page.
How does a new teammate get a number?
Statxt assigns numbers to users. Contact Statxt support with the teammate’s name and the area code you want.
Why is Rotate number grayed out?
Rotation needs 30 days of message history and a 30-day score below 7.0. It’s also off for 30 days after a number was rotated.
What happens to my campaign when I rotate?
The replacement number is attached to the same campaign and assigned to you, so you keep sending under the same registration.
