How-to guide · Getting started
Invite Team Members
Add coworkers to your Statxt workspace with a role that fits their job, or connect a partner’s own Statxt organization as a Team Extension. Everything happens in Settings → Team Members.
How it works
- 1
Choose who
Internal Team joins your workspace. Team Extension links a separate organization.
- 2
Create the invite
Enter their email, pick a role, and click Create Invite.
- 3
They accept
Statxt emails the link. You can also copy it and share it yourself.
- 4
Manage access
Change roles, set daily limits, or remove people any time.
STEP 01
Open Settings → Team Members
This tab lists everyone in your workspace, plus pending invites and connected Team Extensions.
- Active means the person has joined your workspace.
- Pending means they’ve been invited but haven’t accepted yet.
- Connected marks a Team Extension, which is a separate organization linked to yours.
STEP 02
Invite a coworker to your team
Click Invite Member. Leave Invite set to Internal Team, then fill in the details.
- Email is the address they’ll sign in with.
- Role sets what they can do. You can change it later.
- Member type records how they work with you: Employee, Contractor, Agency or Partner.
- Click Create Invite. Only owners and admins can send invites.
STEP 03
Share the invite link
Statxt creates a unique invite link and emails it to the person. The link also appears in the dialog so you can copy it.
- If the email can’t be sent, the dialog tells you. Copy the link and share it another way.
- The invite shows as Pending until it’s accepted. Click Cancel on that row to withdraw it.
- Pending invites count toward your plan’s team member limit. At the limit you’ll see “Your plan allows N team members. Upgrade to add more.”
STEP 04
What your coworker sees
When they open the link, Statxt shows which organization invited them and the role they’ll have.
- They sign in, or create an account, using the email you invited.
- If Statxt set up a new account for them, the page shows a temporary password. They’ll be asked to change it after signing in.
- Once they join, their row on Team Members changes to Active.
STEP 05
Connect a partner as a Team Extension
Working with an agency or partner that has its own Statxt organization? Invite them as a Team Extension instead of adding them to your workspace.
- In the invite dialog, set Invite to Team Extension and enter their email. Only owners and admins see this option.
- A Team Extension has separate billing. Their plan and credits stay their own, and they don’t join your workspace.
- They accept by signing in with the invited email. They need their own organization set up first.
- Once connected, they appear as Team 2 (then Team 3, and so on). You can rename them, remove them, or gift them credits.
STEP 06
Change roles, set limits, or remove people
Manage each person right from their row on Team Members.
- Owners and admins change a role from the Role dropdown. Only the owner can change the owner.
- Owners, admins and managers can set a Daily message limit from the settings icon on a member’s row. Leave it empty for unlimited. Organization limits still apply.
- Click Remove to take someone out of the workspace. The owner can’t be removed, and you can’t remove yourself.
Pro tips
Get more out of Invite Team Members
Start with the smallest role
Invite people as Member or Viewer, then raise their role later if they need more access.
Use the right email
Invitees must sign in with the exact email you invited. Double-check it before you click Create Invite.
Watch your seats
Pending invites count toward your plan’s team member limit. Cancel invites nobody is going to accept.
Give new members credits
Members, managers and viewers send from their own wallet. Allocate credits to them in Settings → Billing.
Keep agencies separate
Use a Team Extension for outside partners who run their own Statxt account, so billing stays separate.
Share the link if email fails
If the invite email doesn’t arrive, copy the invite link from the dialog and send it yourself.
Common questions
Who can invite team members?
Owners and admins. They can also cancel pending invites, change roles and remove members.
What’s the difference between Internal Team and Team Extension?
Internal Team adds a person to your workspace with a role. Team Extension links a partner’s separate Statxt organization, which keeps its own billing.
Why can’t I add another member?
Your plan sets how many team members you can have, and pending invites count toward it. Cancel unused invites or upgrade your plan.
Can I limit how much a teammate sends?
Yes. Owners, admins and managers can set a daily message limit for any member from the settings icon on their row.
