How-to guide · Account
Notifications
Stay on top of new texts and missed calls without watching the inbox all day. Use the bell for a quick catch-up, and Settings → Notifications to choose what reaches you by email and push.
How it works
- 1
In the app
The bell collects missed calls, unread texts and AI escalations.
- 2
Pop-up toasts
New-message toasts appear while you work elsewhere in Statxt.
- 3
Email & push
Choose which emails and push alerts you get in Settings.
- 4
Before a blast
Get warned when an audience was texted recently.
STEP 01
Check the bell
The bell icon in the app navigation shows a red count when something needs you. Click it to see missed calls, unread texts and AI escalations in one list.
- Click a notification to jump straight to that conversation or page.
- Unread items are highlighted with a dot.
- Click Mark read to clear the unread count, or Clear to empty the list.
STEP 02
Turn message toasts on or off
Message toasts are small pop-ups that show new texts while you’re working outside Messages. Switch them from your account menu.
- Click your profile picture, then click Message toasts to switch between On and Off.
- Toasts don’t appear while you’re already on the Messages page.
- Clear all removes any toasts waiting on screen.
- This setting is saved in your browser, so set it on each computer you use.
STEP 03
Open Settings → Notifications
Notification Preferences is where you choose how and when Statxt contacts you. Each switch turns one alert on or off.
- Email Notifications and Push Notifications each have their own section.
- Changes save on their own. There’s no Save button.
- These are your personal preferences. Teammates set their own.
STEP 04
Get reminded about unanswered texts
Outstanding conversation reminders email you when conversations are still waiting on a reply. Turn the switch on, then pick how long to wait.
- Set Remind me after anywhere from 1 to 168 hours. The default is 6.
- Reminders only go out when you’ve been away from Statxt for at least 1 hour.
- They repeat on the same schedule while conversations remain unread.
STEP 05
Choose push notifications
Push Notifications covers alerts outside your inbox. Mobile push sends new incoming texts to the Statxt mobile app on your phone.
- Each alert goes to the teammate the conversation is assigned to, or to its owner if it isn’t assigned.
- Turn Mobile push off if you only want to check texts at your desk.
- Desktop notifications and Sound alerts have their own switches in the same section.
STEP 06
Set your Campaign Audience Safety window
Before you blast a group, Statxt can warn you if some of those contacts were texted recently. Choose whose texts count and how far back to look.
- Everyone on my team counts any text from your workspace. Only my messages counts just your own sends.
- Set the Recent-message lookback window in hours, days or weeks, from 1 hour up to 30 days. The default is 24 hours.
- When you send a blast, the Audience safety gate lets you Exclude them or Continue anyway.
Pro tips
Get more out of Notifications
Let the bell do the triage
Start your day from the bell. It puts missed calls and unread texts in one list, so nothing slips.
Pick a realistic reminder delay
Set Remind me after to match how fast you promise to reply. Shorter delays mean more reminder emails.
Quiet focus time
Turn Message toasts off when you need to concentrate. The bell still collects everything for later.
Avoid double-texting
Keep Campaign Audience Safety on Everyone on my team so contacts aren’t texted twice by different teammates.
Widen the window for big sends
For promotions, a lookback of a few days helps you avoid texting the same people too often.
Set it per person
Notification settings are personal. Ask each teammate to set theirs to match how they work.
Common questions
Where do I change my notification settings?
Go to Settings → Notifications. Flip any switch to turn that alert on or off. Changes save automatically.
What shows up under the bell?
Missed calls, unread texts and AI escalations. Click an item to open it, or use Mark read and Clear to tidy the list.
How do I stop new-message pop-ups?
Click your profile picture and switch Message toasts to Off. The setting applies to the browser you’re using.
Why am I warned that contacts were texted recently?
That’s Campaign Audience Safety. It flags recipients texted within your lookback window. You can exclude them or continue anyway.
