Tracking Links
Replace long URLs with first-party short links at click.statxt.com. Every recipient gets their own link, so you can see who clicked and which links perform best.
How it works
- 1
Add a link
Paste an HTTPS URL or insert a tracked link field in your message.
- 2
Track clicks
Turn on Track clicks. Statxt swaps in a unique short link per recipient.
- 3
Contact taps
They’re redirected instantly, and the click is logged in the background.
- 4
Measure
Total and unique clicks, click-through rate, and your top links.
STEP 01
Add a link to your campaign message
In Text Blaster, paste the full HTTPS URL into your message. Statxt detects it and shows how many trackable links it found.
- Only HTTPS destinations are allowed. Private or internal URLs are rejected.
- Public shorteners like bit.ly and TinyURL are blocked in campaigns for compliance.
- Don’t paste a click.statxt.com link from Link Maker into a campaign. Campaigns generate their own per-recipient links.
STEP 02
Or insert a tracked link field
For links you reuse, insert a tracked link field like {tracked_link:application} from the Tracked links picker, then set its destination before sending.
- Pick a saved field, or choose Custom to name a new key and set its destination URL.
- Every tracked link field needs a destination URL before the campaign can send.
- Each recipient still gets a unique short link at send time.
STEP 03
Check what recipients will see
Tracking links are usually longer than the URL you pasted, which can push a message into an extra SMS segment.
- Text Blaster warns you when Track clicks may increase the segment count.
- Trim other words if you’re just over a segment boundary.
- Each contact gets a different link, so clicks can be tied back to the person who tapped.
STEP 04
Make one-off links in Settings
Need a link for a single text, a social post, or a reusable apply link? Create it in Settings → Tracking Links.
- Paste a destination URL and click Create tracking link.
- Copy the short link and use it anywhere outside of campaigns.
- Archive links you no longer need to keep the list tidy.
STEP 05
Measure clicks
Open a campaign to see its link analytics, or use the Tracking Links dashboard in Settings for every link in your workspace.
- Total clicks counts every tap. Unique clicks counts each contact once.
- CTR and repeat clicks show how engaged recipients were.
- Top links, devices and browsers help you see what’s working.
- Bot traffic is filtered out and click floods are rate-limited.
